As a leading company in the defense industry, LIG Defense & Aerospace (formerly LIG Nex1) faced the need for a more robust protection framework and efficient document management as its organization rapidly expanded.

With approximately 5,000 users, building a large-scale document centralization environment required not only stability but also systematic management.

After extensive evaluation, the company selected Cyberdigmโ€™s document centralization solution, โ€œDestiny ECM.โ€
We spoke with Mr. Kim (team lead) and Mr. Lee (manager) from DX Team to learn about the motivation behind the adoption, why Cyberdigm was chosen as a partner, and the changes experienced after implementation.

Destiny ECM Implementation Story

Q1. What was the initial objective for document centralization solution?

Due to the nature of the defense industry, LIG D&A has always maintained strict protection measures. However, as the company expanded to the scale of a large enterprise, the scope of management increased significantly.

As a result, the need to systematically control and manage scattered document assets became more critical.ย In particular, the company aimed to fundamentally prevent internal data leakage risks and securely protect its core knowledge assets, which led to the decision to adopt the solution.

Q2. How did you first learn about Cyberdigmโ€™s document centralization solution?

Cyberdigm was already well known in the document centralization market, especially among IT professionals.

In fact, we had previously conducted a PoC (Proof of Concept), which allowed us to understand the productโ€™s characteristics and capabilities in advance.

Q3. Why did you choose Cyberdigm?

Cyberdigmโ€™s extensive references and strong market reputation were the most decisive factors.

Among other vendors that were evaluated during the review process, Cyberdigm demonstrated a far more proactive and responsive approach during the PoC.

Additionally, the companyโ€™s stability gave us confidence that maintenance and technical support services would continue reliably without interruption, which played a key role in our final decision.

How We Use Destiny ECM

Q1. How are you currently utilizing document centralization?

LIG D&A applies policies flexibly based on departmental needs.

For example, R&D departments that frequently use large-scale design tools are partially allowed to store files locally, while administrative organizations enforce full control over local storage.

To further enhance protection, the company has integrated its existing DRM and DLP solutions with the document centralization system, establishing a multi-layered protection framework.

Q2. Which features have been the most useful in your daily work?

The co-editing feature has significantly improved efficiency in teamwork scenarios involving multiple users.

In particular, the ability to apply flexible access control aligned with the organizational structureย allows sensitive information to be securely isolated while granting access only to authorized personnel.

Additionally, the powerful search function, which can retrieve not only file names but also document content, has proven extremely useful.

Q3. What has changed the most after implementation?

The most significant change is the strengthened organization-wide control over documents, as previously scattered files are now managed within a centralized server.

From an operational perspective, usability has also improved. Instead of the traditional method of sharing large file attachments, the company has shifted to link (URL)-based sharing, simplifying the overall sharing process.

ย

Q4. What type of companies would you recommend this solution to?

This solution is highly recommended for companies that lack a document management system or operate in industries where protection is criticalโ€”such as defenseโ€”or large-scale enterprise environments.

However, to maximize satisfaction, it is important to establish clear internal document management policies and conduct thorough validation in a similar environment before implementation.

In an environment where large-scale organizational growth and strict security requirements coexist,ย

LIG D&A successfully unified its fragmented document management system and built an efficient collaboration environment through Cyberdigmโ€™s document centralization solution.

Not only for defense companies handling critical assets such as technical documents and design drawings, but also for organizations that require structured document asset management and risk control, Cyberdigmโ€™s document centralization solution is worth considering.
